D’station Racing Unveils 2024 GT300 Plans & Ferrari Super Taikyu Entry | SUPER GT News (2026)

Get ready for some thrilling motorsport action! D'station Racing is gearing up for the upcoming SUPER GT season with a few exciting announcements. But here's the twist: they're not just sticking to one series!

SUPER GT GT300 Lineup Unchanged:
D'station is the latest team to finalize its plans for the GT300 class, retaining its driver lineup of Tomonobu Fujii and Charlie Fagg for the #777 Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo. The duo scored two wins at Fuji last year, but a challenging second half of the season saw them finish 12th overall.

And this is where it gets interesting: Dunlop will be D'station's tire supplier, marking the final season of open tire competition in SUPER GT. Will this partnership give them an edge over the competition?

The team will be in action at the upcoming GT Entrants' Association (GTE) test at Fuji Speedway on February 17-18, alongside 22 other expected cars. However, several teams, including PONOS Racing and Anest Iwata Racing, are yet to confirm their official plans for the season.

New GT300 Entrant and Driver Changes:
Rookie Racing will make its GT300 debut with a Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo, adding to the diverse grid. Meanwhile, Tsuchiya Engineering has signed Ryota Horachi, a Formula 4 graduate and former Honda junior driver, to replace Kimiya Sato. This move could spark some debate among fans, as the team looks to improve on a challenging 2025 season.

D'station Expands to Super Taikyu:
But wait, there's more! D'station is not limiting itself to SUPER GT. They've revealed a parallel effort in the Super Taikyu series, entering the top ST-X class with a Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo. Fujii will be joined by team owner Satoshi Hoshino and newcomer Yuta Kamimura in this endeavor.

Furthermore, D'station will field a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup in the ST-1 class, driven by Tatsuya Hoshino, Tetsuya Tanaka, Kenji Hama, and Taiga Kabaki.

With such ambitious plans across multiple series, D'station is certainly making a statement. But will they be able to balance their efforts and achieve success in both championships? Only time will tell. What do you think about their strategy? Are they spreading themselves too thin, or is this a brilliant move to maximize their racing potential?
